Great Lakes Scrip - Giftcards

These great retailers and more are available through Scrips!

Scrip is a term that means "substitute money."

When the PTO/PTF organizations purchase scrip, they're purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. The gift cards/certificates (scrip) is issues by the national and local retailers where we all already shop. You can use scrip to purchase everyday items like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with those purchases, the D46 PTO/PTF organizations earn revenue for the schools.

The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of non profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. When the PTO/PTF organizations purchase the scrip they earn that discounted amount and you get a full-value gift card or certificate.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

Many D46 schools use the Scrip Program. Contact your school's PTO for more information on the Scrip Program and to obtain an order form.
